Neighbor to neighbor

Living
neighborly

Through living a neighborly lifestyle, we seek to bring American and foreign-born neighbors together in partnership to transform communities by meeting holistic needs.

Who we are01

A neighborly act is what bridges the gap. We want to be good neighbors who respond to the needs of the one in front of us with mercy, neighbors who invite others into our homes and into friendship, and who help others cultivate a lifestyle of being neighborly.

That kind of change starts at the heart. We want to bring back a culture of hospitality and bring people from different backgrounds together as one community.

What we do02

If we can get people to open their doors, we will accomplish our mission.

Here are four ways we bring American and foreign-born neighbors together.

01

Activating Neighbors

We train American churches and businesses to see the foreign-born neighbors around them and host them well: sharing a large meal, asking good questions and learning by doing.

02

Open Doors & Serve Neighbors

Opening our doors is a vital first step. We equip people to invite their neighbors in for a meal, a conversation and a friendship.

03

Build Genuine Relationships

Meeting a practical need often leads to tea in a living room. We stay, listen and walk with families over time.

04

Serve as Partners

We ask and listen before we act. American and foreign-born neighbors work side by side, neighbor to neighbor and through programs like Lawns for Ramadan, to meet the holistic needs of their community.
